Privacy and protection

The Navigator is operated by Oshim Somers. Contact oshim@oshim.com for privacy questions, access, correction or a deletion request. Updated 14 October 2026 for Beta 2.0.

What you choose to share

We use contact details, programme arrangements, agreed coaching records, optional questionnaire answers and dated compass ratings to deliver and administer coaching. You may skip optional questions. Some reflections may reveal health or other sensitive information; include only what you want to share. Your personal journal is offered as a download for private use and is not saved through the shared worksheet form.

Who can access it

The client portal makes your saved responses available to you and Oshim under your agreement. Client accounts are separate. The coach script library is restricted to owner access. Signed agreements, session materials and external sharing have their own agreed arrangements. Do not put another person’s private information into a response without an appropriate basis.

Services that support the programme

DigitalOcean hosts the portal in Sydney. Google services may be used for agreed documents, appointments, emails and meeting records. Provider processing can involve locations outside Australia. Recording, transcription and AI summaries require separate discussion and consent; declining a recording does not require abandoning coaching. Stripe is connected in sandbox mode only in this beta; it does not take live payments.

Your device and voice input

Essential session cookies support sign-in. Browser voice entry is optional and may use your browser provider’s speech service; type instead if you do not want that processing. Downloads and exports become copies on your device, so protect them and choose where to store them.

Keeping and correcting records

Compass updates preserve the first dated entry and add later reflections. Add context or request a correction rather than silently overwriting the baseline. Records do not currently expire automatically. Agree retention and sharing at onboarding and contact Oshim to discuss access, correction or deletion. Restricted recovery backups may retain prior copies until their backup cycle expires; a deletion request needs a managed review.

Protection and confidentiality

The portal uses encrypted HTTPS connections, hashed passwords, separate client and owner access, protected forms and restricted server files. These controls reduce risk; they do not guarantee security. Confidentiality limits, including any applicable legal duties and serious safety concerns, are discussed in the agreement. The portal and coach email are not emergency services.

Concerns and further information

Raise concerns directly with Oshim so the request can be reviewed and recorded. General Australian privacy and health-information guidance is available from the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. This notice describes the current beta; it is not a claim of a completed legal compliance assessment.
